19 Best Video Game Moments From E3 2016
16. Titanfall 2's Mid-Air Grapple Hook Kick
For the longest time, Titanfall was pegged as the 'next generation' of Call of Duty. After all, developers Respawn were made up of ex-Infinity Ward chaps, which should have assumedly meant they'd knock it out the park all over again.
However as we know, that's just not how it went down, and negative consumer reaction led to the game flatlining within days. Cut to 2016's E3 and people had gotten over that stuff - in fact you could say we were cautiously optimistic. After all, you've got massive mech, pilots and wall-running - what's not to love?
Then that multiplayer showcase happened, and our jaws were firmly commanded to slam-dunk the floor. It's a fantastic restorer of your faith in the project, but the best part comes right at the end, where two pilots eject simultaneously out of their respective mechs, linking up with a grapple hook and finishing the battle by smashing into each other in mid-air.
Perfect.
