While Gauntlet II was virtually the same game in many ways as its predecessor, the small upgrades Atari introduced with it make it more than worthy of its place on this list. Players could now select the same characters, meaning no more arguments over the control panel, and new collectables were added including the now infamous β€œit”.

The addition of a boss in the form of a fiery red dragon was also a welcome upgrade from the original. Gauntlet II remains a true multi-player classic to this very day.
