20 Basic Video Game Skills That Are Secretly Broken

18. Windblast - Dishonored

Dishonored, Arkane’s flagship title about a supernatural assassin, provides the player with multiple supernatural abilities that are of great help in combat.

The most iconic and beloved of these abilities are Blink, which allows you to teleport around; Possession, which lets you enter NPCs’ minds; and Bend Time, which slows down time.

And then there’s stuff like Windblast.

While the aforementioned iconic trio makes for truly cinematic and epic assassinations, Windblast is exactly what its name suggests: a breeze of wind that knocks people and objects away.

It doesn’t seem that useful, and since it takes 50% of your mana to cast, most people prioritize more cool-looking powers. However, Windblast has a special secret use that actually gives it an amazing advantage over other abilities.

It's not just objects and creatures that Windblast affects. The power also pushes projectiles, such as the deadly bolts and grenades used by tallboys, aka the strongest enemies in the game.

Usually it takes a lot of maneuvering and skills to take down a tallboy, but with Windblast, all you have to do is activate the ability when a tallboy shoots at you, and the reversed projectile will instantly kill them.

Who needs fancy abilities when you can just press a button and win?
