The God of War series might have primarily been the critical darlings of the Playstation 2, but that doesn't mean that the third entry isn't one of the best action titles for the PS3. The climax of Kratos' tale of vengeance against the gods, God of War III is a bloody adventure filled with highly satisfying combat. In terms of scale, the God of War series has rarely been matched. God of War III literally begins with Kratos racing and battling his way up the back of the mother of all Titans, who's in turn climbing up Mount Olympus itself. A stunning technical achievement, everything about God of War III is hilariously over-the-top and excessive. It's also a satisfying story of revenge, and the final encounter with Zeus features what has to be one of the bloodiest interactive sequences of all time. Every entry in the God of War series is a must-have for anyone that owns a Sony console, and God of War III is no exception.
