20 Best PlayStation Exclusives Of The Decade
13. Infamous: Second Son
Infamous: Second Son is one of those sequels that pays homage to its source material, yet creates its own identity from it.
The first two games were Sucker Punch's PS3 darlings, that wrapped up their story arc at the end of the second. It was inevitable the series wouldn't go quietly into the good night, with Second Son being their continuation of the IP into the new generation of consoles.
And wow, what a continuation it is. It brought colour and life, in contrast to its darker PS3 counterparts, as well as protagonist with more charisma and likability than Cole McGruff... sorry, MacGrath.
Sure, the wise-cracking edgelord trope was nothing new, but with new hero comes new abilities, as well as new console processor power to show them off on. Delsin's powers were a great way to demonstrate what the PS4 could do, against the colourful backdrop of occupied Seattle.
It almost helped that Delsin's story was emotionally invested, as was future DLC Last Light. It gave more gravitas to your actions, whether good or bad, cementing its place as one of the PS4's highest selling games.
