20 Best Sci-Fi Video Games Of All Time
19. Eve Online
There are many MMORPG’s out there to choose from, but none have amassed the same kind of reputation as Eve Online.
Developed and published by CCP Games, Eve Online has a total of 7,800 star systems for players to visit, and a number of in-game professions and activities, including manufacturing, mining, exploration and piracy. It’s single, shared game world allows players to engage in trade with one another, found and run their own corporations, compete in friendly tournaments, declare war on each other and carry out political agreements.
As you would expect from any MMORPG there is a huge list of features for players to wrap their heads around, but even the most veteran of players would have a hard time coming to grips with everything Eve Online has to offer. From the size and scale of the games world and its array of starships, to its races, combat and insane in-game economy.
The game also had the largest and most expensive in-game battles in gaming history, known as The Bloodbath of B-R5RB, with involved thousands of players and took 21 hours to end.
Star Citizen fans may be expecting it to surpass Eve Online, but they have an especially tall mountain to climb.
