20 Best Sci-Fi Video Games Of All Time
16. Titanfall 2
First person shooters are a very popular genre of gaming. Giant mechs are awesome. So when Respawn Entertainment combined the two with Titanfall, it was a match made in heaven. One that they improved upon with Titanfall 2.
Like its predecessor, Titanfall 2 delivers a fast paced, wall-running first-person shooter experience, while giving players the option to pilot their own Titans. Multiplayer allows you to choose from different classes of titan and was able to improve upon the first game by adding new mechanics for greater maneuverability, such as the grapple hook and sliding.
But what surprised people the most about Titanfall 2 was how good its single player campaign was. After the first game had no campaign, Respawn answered fans' requests for one in the sequel, and they did not disappoint. Players control Jack Cooper and his Titan BT-7274 as they must fight behind enemy lines and discover the secret behind their newest weapon.
Despite the game not selling well, mostly due to EA’s decision to launch the game between the latest Call of Duty and Battlefield games, fans are still hopeful that a third game will be made.
