It takes a lot for a game character to have two big Hollywood movie adaptations made about him, and Agent 47 did exactly that.
When you see the suit and barcode, there's no arguing who you're looking at, and that's a great mark of an iconic character. The concept of a professional killer who can blend into any surrounding is so original and that's what makes Agent 47 stand out.
It also means a lot that Agent 47 is really the only prominent character in the whole of the Hitman series.
Besides being the face of an amazing gaming series, it's actually what Agent 47 did for the genre that makes him so highly regarded.
