20 Best Wii U Games Of All Time
5. Mario Kart 8
Mario Kart 8 is so good that they didn't even make a new Mario Kart game for the Switch as this one is good enough to last two consoles.
It's got some of the best tracks in the entire series with Sunshine Airport, Water Park, Toad Harbour, Electrodome, and Thwomp Ruins. It also updated the retro tracks so much that they might as well be new tracks.
This is mostly due to the new anti-gravity gimmick, which is present in many of the courses including the retro courses making them feel completely different from what they were based on.
Then there's the DLC which adds cool characters which is actually needed as there aren't many interesting newcomers in the initial roster. DLC adds amazing characters like Isabelle and Link. The DLC makes the course list even better as well with the likes of Mute City, Hyrule Circuit, and the Animal Crossing course.
Of course, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best way to play this due to it including all the DLC, having an actually decent battle mode, and being on the far better Switch, but Mario Kart 8 was still on the Wii U first and is easily one of the best Wii U games.
