20 Best Wii U Games Of All Time

12. Hyrule Warriors

A mix of The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors is as awesome as it sounds.

There are few greater pleasures than wiping out armies of Zelda enemies as your favourite character from the franchise, and the characters who were chosen to fight through enemy hoards are perfect.

We've got the obvious Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf but then we have other fan-favourites like Impa, Midna, and Ghirahim. There's even Fi and that bug lady from Twilight Princess for some bizarre reason.

Since the Wii U was when Nintendo really imbraced DLC we got some cool extra characters as well like Marin, Skull Kid, Medli, and of course everybody's least-favourite Zelda character, Tingle.

I feel like I'm repeating myself here but it bears mentioning that this isn't exclusive to the Wii U anymore and you can get it on the Switch with all the DLC included as Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.

There's also a sequel on the Switch called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which is a beautiful love letter to the best Zelda game, Breath of the Wild - that's definitely something we can all agree on, right?

The more Hyrule Warriors we get the better, and we can thank this game for introducing the series to us.
