20 Biggest Video Game BOMBS That Deserved Better

Titanfall 2 is probably one of the best and most creative first-person shooters. Period.

Everything from its clever level design to the use of the titular Titans, giant mechs that turn you from a simple footsoldier to a giant death machine, is executed so perfectly that the game still enjoys a massive following to this day.

And yet, at the time of its release, it barely managed to get any traction and was considered a financial failure.

Why? The answer lies in two important factors: the game’s poorly timed release date and its almost nonexistent marketing.

Titanfall 2 came out in 2016, around the same time that another title in the FPS genre made its appearance—Battlefield 1. Suffice to say, against one of the most recognizable franchises in the first-person shooter’s history, Titanfall 2 had little ground to compete on (especially since Battlefield 1 was attempting to bring something new to the series with its World War I setting).

Perhaps the game could’ve had some chances to become more recognizable had it had better marketing, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case, and Titanfall 2 slipped past most people’s radars.

When its greatness was rediscovered years later, it was already too late.
