20 Essential N64 Games You Must Play Before You Die

1. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Despite being old enough to play Ocarina of Time when it originally released on the N64, the first time I actually got around to playing - and appreciating - the game's near-perfect world design was when the spruced-up version was released on the 3DS.

In hindsight, I'm rather glad I waited over a decade to experience Link's grandest adventure; it made me realise that, for all intents and purposes, it hasn't aged one bit. Sure, it may look a little rough visually, but the combat, exploration and fairy tale story still resonate just as loudly today as they did in 1998.

Majora's Mask has the exact same gift, but Ocarina sits at the top spot purely for my own personal relationship with it.
