20 Most Frustratingly Difficult Video Game Levels Of All Time

19. Tunnel Manual (Tony Hawk's American Wasteland)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imhjji1CDB8 Skateboarding games are in dire straits; simply put, we haven€™t had a noteworthy game from the genre in years. Tony Hawk €“ the traditional standard-bearer of the dying game-type €“ has taken to either just releasing remastered HD versions of classic titles in the series or developing solely for OS/Android while all other skating titles have apparently disappeared off the face of the earth. This is a crying-shame to those of us who were partial to popping a McTwist over a helicopter or executing a crazy combo in the Foundry as the games and their often-superb soundtracks not only have a nostalgic place in our hearts but were also enormously addictive to play. We think this until we remember a cruel level on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland; then we become happy that Tony Hawk and the entire genre of games have gone the way of John Marston. The mission in question demanded that the skater somehow manual all the way through the underground passage of Downtown LA without either failing to land the trick or running out of momentum. Neversoft asking the gamer to land such an improbable trick was just spiteful on their part and dirties our memories of what is otherwise a beautiful gaming genre. WhatCulture Tip: Try and spacewalk to regain that all-important speed.
