20 Games That Made The Movies BETTER
9. 007: Quantum of Solace (2008)
It's not difficult to understand why the Quantum of Solace game has been all but lost to gaming history: adapting the least popular Daniel Craig Bond movie (and arguably the least Bond-feeling 007 movie of all) was a tough sell, and one that not many fans were willing to sign on or stick around for.
Although released as a Quantum of Solace adaptation, the game actually brings together the stories from Casino Royale and Quantum, dipping back via flashback midway through the latter to give a good go at the key sequences of the first film - which didn't get a game of its own.
Built by Treyarch on an unavoidably Call of Duty model, this often works to Quantum's advantage, giving the main game a strong sense of pace that other Bond games have lacked at times, alongside an online multiplayer service as fun as the COD titles of the time. It's an excellent summation of the films, and it adds back in the gadgets that Craig's films largely neglected, making things feel all the more 007 in the process, and encouraging us to take another pass at the admittedly middling film.
