20 Greatest Commodore Amiga Games Of All Time

18. The Chaos Engine

The top down, victorian steampunk shooter The Chaos Engine is another entry from Amiga Stalwarts The Bitmap Brothers. It was one of the best two player games to ever be released on the platform, with the A.I. taking control of the other player in single-person mode. With six characters to choose from, ranging from the powerful but slow Navvie and Thug, through to the fast but weak Gentleman and Preacher, the game even had some RPG-style leveling to it: you could upgrade your character€™s attributes, improve weapons and purchase new items. The Chaos Engine really was a game well ahead of its time.
