On top of that, the Dreamcast was the home of Shenmue, a game that was so before its time that modern titles are only just coming close to its level of open world immersion. Thanks to the announcement of the PlayStation 2, sales plummeted fast, and the Dreamcast has gone down in history as the greatest video game flop of all time.
