10. Battlefield: Hardline (Oct 21)

Battlefield 4 may only just be starting to become playable after over half-a-year of glitches and technical issues, but EA have had Visceral Games hard at work on a spin-off entry into the Battlefield franchise, a contemporary cops-and-robbers-type shooter going by the name of Battlefield: Hardline. While it's easy to sniff at EA prepping another Battlefield game while their previous one was still struggling, it's hard to deny that Hardline looks like it's going to be a ridiculous amount of fun, and what's more, the Beta is available right now for PC and PS4. The video shown off at E3 totally won us over: the Heist game is devilishly simple, with teams of cops and robbers fighting to secure some loot, leading to some of the most explosive multiplayer mayhem we've ever seen, complete with the destructive "Levolution" set-pieces we've enjoyed in Battlefield 4. As for the single player? Journalists have noted that it features kitschy "Previously on Hardline" videos to start each level, so hopefully it won't take itself quite as morbidly seriously as the last few Battlefield campaigns. Still, this game will inevitably be all about the multiplayer, and we can't wait to get our mits on it. Predicted MetaCritic Score: 76
