20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014
12. Driveclub (Oct 7)
Driveclub was originally announced as a PS4 launch title, though after continual delays, has finally been penciled in for an early October release date, just behind the release of Xbox One rival Forza Horizon 2, but well ahead of multi-platform racer The Crew, which bows in November. Though it's easy to sniff at the delays and believe that Evolution Studios simply don't know what they're doing, they've contested that they essentially went back to the drawing board in order to build a better and more satisfying racer. It certainly looks impressive from a visual perspective, though it remains to be seen if the staggering level of attention-to-detail will be enough to distinguish it from the pack of racers due for release around the same period. It's somewhat disappointing that something as seemingly integral to the racing experience as a weather system won't be available on launch, and though we're going in with a healthy amount of skepticism, hopefully the social, team-based aspect of the racing will push it over the top. Predicted MetaCritic Score: 78
