20 Mind-Blowing Things You Didn't Know About Grand Theft Auto 3

6. Old People And Children

GTA 3 20 Years
Rockstar

GTA 3's Liberty City is quite an empty place, when you stop and think about it.

There's a few pedestrians wandering around, but limitations of the original PS2 hardware meant Rockstar could only do so much without the game crashing or frame rates dipping.

From the small amount of pedestrians you'll see wandering about, there's something strange going on: there's absolutely no elderly pedestrians, nor are there any child pedestrians.

The reason for their non-inclusion seems obvious; the ratings boards would be all over Rockstar if they allowed violence against these groups of people. However, at some point in development, we do know that there were plans to actually include both children and elderly people in the game as types of pedestrians.

The elderly people would even have walkers.
