Microsoft Flight Simulator may not be to everyone's tastes, but there's no doubt that it's the best it is at what it does. And what it does best, is so very pretty.
Flight Simulator turned a lot of heads when it landed on the Series X in 2020, acting as a graphical showpiece for Microsoft's then-new console. 2024 looks set to continue in the same vein, as the game looks stunning in the official screenshots.
Yet rather than merely retreading what worked well before, developers Asobo Studio are tweaking the formula by offering the most action-packed Flight Simulator ever - hell, just look at the tornado chasing the aircraft in the above picture. FS 2024 might be the most high-octane entry yet, with other missions charging the player with rescues, firefighting and stunt shows.
The Flight Simulator series has been going for over 40 years, and 2024 looks to be the most exciting entry so far.
