20 Most Powerful Video Game Weapons Ever

6. Blades Of Chaos (God Of War)

There are many reasons behind the iconic-level success of the God Of War series. But a lot of it - I'm willing to wager - came from its innovative choice of weaponry that would revolutionize how the hack-&-slash genre approaches its gameplay: the Blades Of Chaos.

These weapons - by their very nature - solve the issue of enemies staggering too far out of range of your combos when you attack them the first time. The blades stretch out when Kratos swings them, causing them to encompass a length three times that of Kratos' arms. So if an attack causes an enemy to stagger backward, you don't have to worry about your combos being interrupted.

But don't take this technical jargon to mean that the blades are any slouch in story. Frankly, these blades were destined for this list purely on their body count alone. These blades have the blood of the entire Greek pantheon dripping from their steel, and soon the Norse pantheon is likely to join them. Assuming that Kratos doesn't immediately die in the next one, that is.
