7. The Golden Gun (Goldeneye 007)
Nothing says "deadliest weapon out there" than a gun that can literally kill anyone in a single shot. The golden gun is the most powerful weapon in Goldeneye 007, so powerful in fact that you can only get your hands on it in the multiplayer. Because letting Bond have this gun in the actual game would cut its challenge down to basically nothing.
This is by far the easiest weapon on this list to explain the appeal of. It's a gun that immediately kills everything you use it against. There's no defense against it, no gun that can counter it (not counting ANOTHER golden gun), your only hope of surviving is getting a lucky shot against the person using it. And considering that we're talking about Goldeneye - which I promise, is somehow three times as clunky as you remember it being - good luck with that, buddy.
Some weapons require deep explanation of game mechanics in order to properly explain what makes them so powerful. But the golden gun requires no such nuance. You shoot one bullet, and whoever you hit goes down immediately. All that needs to be said, frankly.
