20 Most Replayable Video Game Moments Of The 2000s

7. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) - Crawling Through Pripyat

The reason Call Of Duty has become the vapid, money-grabbing machine that it is today can be partly blamed on the fact that it used to be a pretty ground-breaking game. The high-point in the series - the moment that makes you think, "games can't possibly get more real than this"- is the 'All Ghillied Up' mission, which sees you crawling through the fields and ghost towns of Pripyat (a.k.a the place that everyone calls Chernobyl). It's particularly impactful for its contrast to the bog-standard gung-ho gunplay building up to that point in the game. If you get caught, you're dead, and there are countless points in the level where you're convinced you'll get caught, causing you to hold your breath and close your eyes in anticipation of a bullet going through your skull. It's nail-biting stuff, particularly the bit in the field... with the tanks. I'll say no more lest I spoil it. Just jump in and try it for yourself.
