Okay, okay, obviously most of you have heard of the Postal series. But we don't think anybody can argue that it doesn't belong on a list like this. Come on, this is a game in which a trip to the store to get milk can end with the player urinating on a corpse-pile of their own creation. It's as racist as it is gory, an embarrassing symptom of its post-9/11 sensibilities, and you even use live cats as gun silencers. This game desperately wants you to be offended and the people who created it only know how to take the cheapest and most exploitative paths to get there. It's like website 4Chan as a video game but with more effort and less wit. Still, it's got its boyish charms. If you can shrug your way past the most obnoxious bits then some of the more surreal jokes do land with something approximating style. And there's an interesting core idea in having to accomplish mundane tasks in an insane world, especially when you're frequently loaded up with an arsenal that's just begging to be fired off into a crowd of silly, barely humanoid ragdolls. Of course, if you want something that explores suburban violence with a functioning frontal lobe then there are better options out there, like...
