Soul Calibur, one of the kings of 3D fight games, right? Errr nope. Not if it was around in the early 90s anyway, and competing with the likes of Super Street Fighter 2 and King of Fighters '95. Sure, Soul Calibur works great as a 3D game, but there's a good reason the likes of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat returned to the 2D style - it just looks and plays better.

Looking at this is further proof that good pixel-art is completely timeless...
