17. Dark Souls (Isometric/16-bit)

It's hard to pin down exactly what platform we would've seen this game on. With its pixel art possibly being a bit too detailed for the SNES to handle, it could have been a PS1 release or PC game in the late 90s.

Whatever era it harkens back to, I want it now.

The isometric plane is one that would work well with the Souls series, and would omit the auto-targeting camera freak-outs that have led to so many deaths, particularly in the legendary Ornstein & Smough boss battle.
