20 Severely Underrated Pokémon That Deserve A Second Chance

10. Noctowl

Snorlax Y/Y
Nintendo

Despite the fact that it isn't classed as a Psychic type, Noctowl actually learns more Psychic type moves than it does Flying type. As a result, you can arm a Noctowl with some of the strongest Psychic type attacks in the game but not have to worry about inheriting the type-based weaknesses.

As a Flying/Normal type, Noctowl has just three type weaknesses to worry about in battle. Its solid HP stat gives it good battle longevity, and the combination of Hypnosis and Dream Eater is the type of double act that gives its opponents serious nightmares. Oh, and it can actually use Nightmare as well.

You need a bit of luck with accuracy for some of the moves, but a Noctowl with the Keen Eye ability is at least guaranteed not to have its accuracy decreased at any stage, giving the strategy more than a fighting chance.

Suggested Moveset:
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Air Slash
Extrasensory
