20 Severely Underrated Pokémon That Deserve A Second Chance

8. Infernape

Despite Blaziken becoming a recent darling of the Pokémon series, its popularity is unusual when you consider that there are other Fire/Fighting types that can do the same job a lot better. Generation Four's Infernape is a great example of this, and it should beat Blaziken into your team any day.

Boasting a dramatically higher Speed stat with only slight penalties to Attack and Special Attack, Infernape will always strike first in a shootout between the two. Its two defensive stats are also superior, meaning it's far less likely to suffer a one-hit KO if it does get hit by anything.

Essentially, Infernape is far more likely to last two turns than Blaziken is, and that can make a heck of a difference in competitive battling!
