20 Severely Underrated PS1 Games You Totally Missed

9. LSD

https://youtu.be/ol4OSIGGukA LSD is probably one of the weirdest games on the console, and definitely on this list. Billed as a dream emulator, it was created when the lead artist at Asmik Ace Entertainment kept a journal of his dreams. Needless to say, it made for a bizarre game. LSD is a first person game, with no no guns, no fighting and no real objective. Instead, you walk around in a randomly generated dream sequence. You can look around, run or walk, and you have 10 minutes to explorer the entire map. Once that 10 minutes has expired, you return to the main menu and begin again. Inside that loop are a few cool features though; as you walk, your interactions with objects can radically change the nature of the world around you, and this in turn, can influence later ones. You'll also encounter strange or odd creatures, but once you play enough, you can unlock a €œflashback€ mode, which lets you retrace your steps through past levels. The unfortunate thing about LSD is that it was never released outside of Japan, and is actually pretty rare over there. Luckily, Sony put it up on Japan€™s PS store, so at least it is available somewhere!
