11. Little Mac Was Awesome

Little Mac was a small but great champ who beat all comers of different shapes and sizes.

Using lightning speed and agility this pint-sized tough guy defeated the likes of Glass Joe, Von Kaiser, King Hippo, Piston Honda, Great Tiger, Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, Don Flamenco, Soda Popinski, Super Macho Man and finally the great Mike Tyson to become the WVBA champion.

Did anyone notice that he had Cleveland from Family Guy has his personal trainer?

Of course the secret to conquering the original Punch-Out on the NES was just to dodge the oncoming glove and nip in with some epic finger speed, a couple of quick jabs and a helping hand from guest referee Super Mario who loved a fast-count.

Before games consoles took boxing seriously and added gruelling training modes and even R&B-heavy soundtracks, in the battle for ring supremacy there was only one underdog worth talking about during the 80s.

Not Rocky Balboa, not Barry McGuigan and not even Frank Bruno.

Little Mac wins via TKO every time.
