20 Things You Didn't Know About Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
10. Quiet Was Originally Supposed To Be Topless
Though there's no denying that Quiet is scantily clad in the final version of The Phantom Pain, her in-game look is practically modest compared to some of the more risque ideas Kojima had for the character.
Early concept art reveals that Kojima considered the possibility of Quiet appearing topless in the game, while wearing only underwear, knee pads, and gun holsters.
Due to content concerns, this was reportedly changed during development so that the gun holster straps would cover Quiet's nipples, and further toned down to a strapless bra.
Considering that this still didn't leave much to the imagination, Kojima iterated once again and settled on her final combat-bra look, which was still met with its fair share of derision by fans.
The fact that dialogue both used and unused in the game files refer to a "naked" girl sneaking around suggests that the skimpier version of Quiet actually made it pretty far into development before being scaled back.
