In an interview with Famitsu several years before the game's release, Kojima revealed that the villainous Skull Face was nearly given a slightly different name - "Scarface."

Given that Kojima loves his on-the-nose cinematic references, it certainly would've been on-brand for him, even if for whatever reason he changed his mind and came up with something slightly more original.

Thankfully it hasn't become a trend for Kojima, as Death Stranding saw him defer back to more shamelessly silly, movie-inspired monikers such as the preposterous "Die-Hardman."
