20 Things You Didn't Know About Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Many fans were disappointed by Skull Face's surprisingly piecemeal role in The Phantom Pain, with his screen time clocking in at only around 30 minutes.

Skull Face voice actor James Horan has also spoken about how minimal his involvement with the game actually was, despite Skull Face being such a prominent fixture of MGS V's marketing.

He said his time recording lines for Skull Face was "a maximum of a couple of hours. Maybe an hour and a half," while adding that unlike Kiefer Sutherland, he only provided a voice for the character without any facial capture.

Given that the game spent so long in development, it's truly bizarre that one of its most prominent villains recorded his entire role in a mere afternoon.
