20 Things You Didn't Know About Uncharted

12. Drake's Fortune Was One Of The First Trophy-Enabled Games

Today, every single game that's released on PS4 must support trophies, but long-time PlayStation fans will remember those dark, dark days when these digital rewards never existed, and as a result, a lot of early PS3 games missed out on trophy support.

Sony's version of achievements first arrived in 2008, months after the launch of Drake's Fortune at the tail-end of 2007. Thankfully though, the decision was made to add trophies to the game retroactively, making it one of the very first titles to bless players with that oh-so sweet "ding" sound effect.

Other famous titles included in that first wave of trophy-enabled games were LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, and Warhawk, but the very first title to utilise the trophy system was Housemarque's excellent Super Stardust HD.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
