20 Upcoming Video Games Absolutely NOBODY Wants
10. Paranormal Activity: Threshold
Though the Paranormal Activity movie franchise declined years ago, a new first-person horror game based on the series is currently in the works.
Paranormal Activity: Threshold follows a couple who, while renovating their house, discover they're not alone.
You'll need to hunt down demonic entities and perform rituals to fend them off while playing across multiple timelines - whatever that means exactly.
But the fundamental issue with Paranormal Activity: Threshold it that it basically just looks like any garden variety first-person survival horror game with some recognisable branding slapped on it.
Would anyone think this game existed in the Paranormal Activity franchise sight-unseen?
And while it's being developed by The Mortuary Assistant developers DarkStone Digital, the reveal trailer merely showcases some supremely rough character models and gameplay that looks like, well, every other horror game.
Perhaps Threshold will be a pleasant surprise, but from what we've seen so far it looks like a total non-entity destined to be near-instantly forgotten.
