The follow-up to 2003's cult classic action-adventure game was first announced by Ubisoft in 2008, and after almost a full decade of radio silence it was reintroduced in 2017.
Despite the attention-grabbing re-reveal, which positioned the game as a hugely ambitious AAA open-world blockbuster, we've had precious few updates in the additional near-decade since.
