Kenshi is a survival game set in a harsh postapocalyptic land. The title’s gameplay can be summarized as a never-ending roller coaster of misery, as your characters will keep getting beat up, kidnapped, enslaved, and killed by the hostile residents of the Kenshi wastelands.

However, if it’s somehow still not enough suffering for you, then you can also skip straight to getting enslaved with one of the starting scenarios.

When starting a new campaign, you get to pick the origin of your characters. All available origins come with their own set of benefits and setbacks, or rather almost all of them, because you can also choose to start as a slave, in which case the only benefit is that things can’t really get much worse.

In this scenario from hell, you get to design two characters that begin their “adventure” as slaves inside a high-security work camp, chained up, starving, and surrounded by powerful guards that you normally wouldn’t have to worry about until much later in the game.

Your only chance to survive is to escape the camp, and with your characters being weakened, restrained, and basically naked, the probability of running away cannot get any slimmer.
