Halo: Combat Evolved is one of the most beloved entries in the franchise, in no small part due to the many details and fun, innovative ideas spread throughout the game.
In fact, one such detail is a secret encounter that can be triggered if you fail to control your base impulses during the tutorial section of the game.
After you complete the introduction to the game on the Pillar of Autumn, Master Chief is given access to his first weapon, the classic Halo pistol.
