17. Fuse
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7Ah20wNe1g Insomniac Games is bringing their first multiplatform title to gamers in 2013 in the form of the cooperative third person shooter, Fuse. The game was formerly being developed under the name Overstrike, but morphed into Fuse when the game received a darker, grittier overhaul. The game will be releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3. Why it will be awesome: For starters, this is a game from Insomniac. They've been delivering the goods to Sony platforms since the 90's with incredibly enjoyable titles such as the Spyro the Dragon and the Ratchet & Clank series. Their Resistance games, which remain exclusive to PS3, are some of the most unappreciated first person shooters out there. Games developed from Insomniac typically have two predominant characteristics - unrelenting action and absurdly creative weapons, and Fuse looks to be continuing in this tradition. Fuse will let you play as one of four characters, each being a different class of soldier with widely different abilities, and let you switch between characters on the fly at any time, even in mid battle. Utilizing each character's strength at the appropriate time should add quite a bit of strategic depth to the game, especially if you're playing the game with someone else (the game supports both online and local cooperative play). Throw in what is sure to be another awesome assortment of unique, Insomniac weaponry, and this could end up being one of the best co-op titles of 2013, made even better by the fact that now, Xbox 360-only gamers will be able to experience the sheer joy that Insomniac brings to all their games.
