17. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Is Strictly Business As Usual
After Assassin's Creed: Unity suffered immense backlash for its overwhelmingly mediocre release, there was hope that Ubisoft might bring something a little different for the series to E3 as an indication that they're going to put more effort in this time. Instead, fans got more of the same: a glossy, lengthy CGI trailer, and strangely enough, not even any Assassin's Creed: Syndicate gameplay in Ubisoft's conference. Though the footage was posted online instead, it didn't seem to indicate much of an evolution beyond new characters and a Victorian London setting. The formula proves so successful even when Ubisoft put only minimal effort in, so gamers probably shouldn't expect much to change until they're prepared to vote with their wallets and stop buying the annualised action series.
