Both parts tragic and heroic, the death of Mordin Solus in Mass Effect 3 is one that elicits all kinds of emotional reactions due in part to the complex situation surrounding it. With the Reapers tearing the galaxy apart, an alliance with the powerful Krogans is needed, but for this to happen their infertility must be cured. Mordin is a fan favorite, so seeing him go was very hard to watch. But at least he went out on his own terms knowing that he was doing the right thing. It is a fine end to one of the best characters of the Mass Effect trilogy. Unless you shoot Mordin in the back yourself, which makes his death a thousand times worse.
