The opening act of Assassin's Creed II features one of the franchise's most unjust and tragic deaths. Worse is that one of Ezio's brothers is just a child, which adds to the horror. Even worse still is that you are forced to flee, denying yourself the instant gratification of seeing the perpetrators die by your blade. The rest of the game is spent biding your time and training to become an Assassin, all the while the memory of that moment fueling your determination to see justice prevail.
