And if you can do it without a marathon summon of the Knights of the Round, then you get even more bragging rights. While Emerald is absolutely optional and has no bearing upon whether you can complete the game or not, gamers brave enough to descend into the sea to take on this behemoth instantly go up a few notches in the cool level. Emerald is an immensely powerful enemy, coming to the party with a whopping one million hit points and a slew of attacks that can reduce you to tears within mere minutes. Not only can he completely destroy your HP if he so chooses, but he's also got some insane magic-draining attacks that you will come to fear as the battle progresses. But even as brutally difficult as Emerald Weapon can be, the sense of accomplishment you can get from slaying this beast is euphoric.
