What adventurer doesn't carry around at least 13 different swords, various other assorted weaponry, all of their money, miscellaneous knickknacks, healing items and a wide variety of useless key items after they've been used once?

What soldier doesn't carry around at least eight different guns, which they can comfortable carry at once and then swap to as needed to put down the hurt on their enemies?

You've sometimes got to believe that, just off camera at all times, most videogame characters are followed by an entourage with huge chests, carts and other ways to carry things. The most guilty party in this way is the humble RPG, in which by the end of the game you're carrying more than enough equipment to mean that movement would be absolutely and totally impossible.
