For many, it is Super Mario World that defines the very essence of gaming and all the joys that it has to offer. Indeed, Super Mario World - released to the SNES console in 1992 to critical and commercial acclaim - is regularly voted the greatest game of all-time. All said and done, the history of the entire medium considered, it's hard to argue for a better choice. Super Mario World was also the game that introduced the world to loveable dinosaur companion Yoshi, who joined Mario on his quest to - once again - rescue Princess Peach from the clutches of Bowser. This game is rendered so lovingly - and in so much detail - that to have failed to play it is, quite simply, to have failed at life.
