AMC have made Mad Men fans wait extra long to see how Don Draper's story ties up, by splitting the 14-episode final season over two years, finally culminating this spring with the last batch of 7 episodes. What exactly does the future hold for Don? The start of season 7 saw him hanging onto his job by a mere thread, and it seems that there are several logical places for him to go, namely to quit the marketing business altogether and find something else more fulfilling, or perhaps taking a dive out of his office window much like in the show's opening credits. Given that Matthew Weiner has already been asked about the suicide ending, it likely won't happen now. Though Don has frequently philandered and abused those around him, there's still a genuine hope that he can find some sort of peaceful resolution as the show winds down.
