One of the mainstays of any wrestling fan's calendar is the most enjoyable of all the gimmick pay-per-views, the Royal Rumble, now in its 28th year. After defeating Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell to become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title, John Cena will take on Brock Lesnar, headlining a pay-per-view together for the third time in less than six months. Though this title match is a little less than inspired, as usual, the strap match is always overshadowed by the Rumble match itself, which will feature the usual 30-man elimination rules rather then the rumoured addition of 40 wrestlers. Roman Reigns announced his participation at last week's TLC pay-per-view, and it's a pretty safe bet that he'll almost certainly end up winning the thing. So, this year's event will probably be one of the more predictable Rumbles in recent memory, but as always, the thrill of the Rumble is the surprises, the insane stunts, and how Kofi Kingston can keep finding ways to return to the ring after almost being eliminated.
