Zelda fans have had a tough wait for the latest core entry into the series, after Breath of the Wild was originally planned for a Wii U release in 2015, and is reportedly set to be a Nintendo Switch launch title, even as rumours suggest it may be delayed until June (and this seems especially likely for the Wii U version of the game).

Though there's justifiable hand-wringing about a low frame-rate and the radical changes the game makes to the usual Zelda formula with its larger, more blatantly open world, it does look like a ludicrously entertaining game, and Nintendo have been extremely forthcoming in demoing the title for hours on end, especially at last year's E3.
