30 Classic SNES Games You Must Play Before You Die

6. Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Movie-based games tend to suck, to be frank. Games based on Star Wars are usually the exception to this rule though, managing to capture the imaginative film series and turn it into some enjoyable titles.

The Super Star Wars series for the SNES loosely follows the plot of the films (expanding on it, in many circumstances) and just like in the original movie trilogy, it's The Empire Strikes Back which stands out most.

With awesome graphics and sound, it captures the look and feel of Star Wars perfectly and those who struggled with the high difficulty of the first game will welcome the new password system. It's well worth revisiting for those looking to get excited for Episode VII.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
