24. Star Fox
Known as Starwing in Europe, Star Fox is well known as the first Nintendo game to use 3D polygons. Nowadays, the results look pretty messy - back in 1993, it was pretty freaking awesome.
Ever watched the Trench Run scene in Star Wars and wished it was a video game? Someone at Nintendo must have because Star Fox is every bit as thrilling as that iconic sequence.
Flying around and blasting enemy spaceships out of the sky never gets old and the set-piece moments (like when Fox's buddies need saving from pursuing enemies) help add urgency and drama to the game. It's the most adrenalin-pumping experience the SNES has to offer.
